"Feed and Weep" by Manawi Thorn (Rock Artist from New York City, New York(NY))

"Feed and Weep," the latest CD by the artistic group Manawi Thorn, is overflowing with dark and menacing songs of Metal/Punk Rock attitude. This group really knows how to tear it up with changing meters and hypnotic guitar licks. The track, "Jersey City Limits," offers bellowing vocals and catchy guitar driven riffs that merge together with the solid drum beats. Feel the dynamic power on, "Changeling," as the tempo starts slow then releases a burst of energy by the domination of the blaring guitars. Screaming vocals and the driving bass line gives "Narcoleptic Blues" an edgy feel while the guitars rip through the burning leads. If you like music that is rhythmically complex and runs full throttle with Metal/Punk Rock intensity, then you will enjoy the sinister songs of "Feed and Weep."

"Bondye Vivan" by Gina Demergeau-Lasseur (Spiritual Artist from The Caribbean)

Balancing native Haitian rhythms with folk-based songs reflecting her deep spiritual devotion, Gina Demergeau-Lasseur's debut CD, "Bondye Vivan," showcases a singer with that rare gift to make it all sound so effortless. A Miami-based Haitian-American, Demergeau-Lasseur's story is grounded in music, her Haitian heritage and her strong Christian beliefs, and her album reflects all these influences with remarkable skill. Singing primarily in French, Caribbean-flavored, up-tempo numbers like "Sa se lanmou" and "Rele Jezu" shimmer like the waters that lap the Haiti seashore, while on the moving and timeless title track, "Bondye vivan," the singer's reverence needs neither simile nor translation. A wonderful album full of Caribbean-soaked songs that are as engaging as they are meaningful, Gina Demergeau-Lasseur's "Bondye Vivan" CD is a treasure of transcendent World music.

"Laugh It Off" by Tammy Lee (Spoken Word Artist from Kansas(KS))

The hilarious album, "Laugh It Off," by Tammy Lee is a spoken word album which, quiet simply, is an assortment of recordings of contagious laughter. Who knew there are so many variations of different types of laughter? This album will show all of them to you and as you listen to each and every track you will be laughing right along with them. "Laugh 10" is a track with a high-toned woman cackling in the foreground with a boom like voice occasionally laughing in the background. "Laugh 2" sounds like a couple of people just rolling on the floor having a spirited chuckle. The last track, "Compilation Laugh" is a long recording compiled of all of the other recordings so that one has a steady stream of laughter to listen to.
